Glossybox – January 2015

After my disappointing box last month, I decided to cancel Glossybox. However, I somehow still received my January box… But was never charged! No clue how it happened, but here is my January Glossybox!

1

  • Skin&Co Roma Sicilian Light Serum ($47 for the full size)
  • Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Brush Stiff ($23.50)
  • Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner ($13.30)
  • Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser ($19.50 for the full size)
  • Lollipops Eye Pencil in Goodbye Moon ($17.00)

Skin&Co Roma Sicilian Light Serum

Skincare products I won’t use!

2

Tweeez Trendy Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Brush Stiff

This brush is really stiff! At first I thought that I would hate that, however I actually enjoy it! It makes applying eye shadow easier almost. It helped with fall out issues as well. I wouldn’t use it as a blending brush though.

6

Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner

I may actually give this little guy a shot seeing as how I do not use toner currently.

5

Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser

I have heard good things about this brand, however I don’t think it will work with my skin.

3

Lollipops Eye Pencil in Goodbye Moon

This is a black eye pencil. I probably wouldn’t have minded receiving this products, except for the fact that I have received half a dozen black pencils in the past month or so in various sub boxes. I do think the packaging is adorable though!

All in all, I am still unimpressed with Glossybox and I’m glad I didn’t pay for this box!

Glossybox December 2014

Well, this is it. After three months of receiving Glossybox I decided to call it quits. Sadly, this just isn’t the kind of products I’m looking for in a sub box. I still think highly of the box and would recommend it if you are looking for something geared towards hair and skin care. Also, I just love their packaging…

1

Anyways, here is what I received:

2

  • Ciate Mini Paint Pot in HUmbug ($10)
  • Tony & Guy Leave in Conditioner ($16.99)
  • Ballapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Burlesque ($19.99)
  • Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute ($32)
  • Rituals Cosmetics Miracle Scrub in Ginsend & Ginkgo Biloba ($17)

Ciate Mini Paint Pot in Humbug

As a nail polish junkie, I do love getting polish. This is a silver and black glitter topper, perfect for New Β Years Eve manis! It has decent coverage (swatch is with one coat!) But you could place the sequins however you wanted it.

This polish isn’t available online – I don’t know why!

5

Toni & Guy Leave in Conditioner

Another hair product I won’t use…

6

Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Burlesque.

Love. Absolute. Love. First off, I love this brand. I’ve received several items from them from Ipsy and – love is all I can say! This color… LOVE. It’s so perfect! It’s a great pinky red! It covers and wears well too! Definitely a win!

You can purchase it here!

4

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute

Another face mask I won’t use…

3

Rituals Cosmetics Miracle Scrub in Ginseng &Β Ginkgo Biloba

Another bust for me… Sad panda!!!

So, I decided to cancel for sure. It’s just not worth the $21 to only use and enjoy two products. It is still a great box, just not for me, as you can tell by my lack of actually reviewing the products!

Glossybox November 2014

As I’m catching up on all my sub box posts, I’ve realized that I have quite the addiction to them…!

Here’s another one from Glossybox. For $21 a month, you’ll receive five luxury beauty products!

Here’s what I got:

1

  • Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer (Full size – $45)
  • 12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment (Full size – $20)
  • So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush ($23.29)
  • OPI Nail Lacquer in Pink Outside the Glossybox ($9.50)
  • Kneipp Herbal Bath: Balancing in Lavender (Full size – $20)

3

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer

I used to think moisturizing would make my skin breakout worse than it already does. Then I found out this wasn’t the case. Your skin is actually more prone to breakouts if there isn’t any moisture in the skin. However, I am 100% satisfied with my Clean & Clear moisturizer that I have not used this product.

2

12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment

After last month’s fiasco with the Proganix body booster, I’m too nervous to even try this product on my hair. It smells nice though!

6

So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush

I’m not a big blush person, so it’s really hair for me to find a shade that I like. I really love this shade. It’s very neautral and isn’t too pink like most of the blushes I’ve received from Ipsy. It also blends really well, unlike some blushes I have tried.

You can purchase it here! <- Found out they have a lip product sub box! I just subscribed so stay tuned for that… (PLEASE someone take my wallet from me?!?!)

4

OPI Nail Lacquer in Pink Outside the Glossybox

This nail lacquer is a Glossybox exclusive that OPI did. It’s a pretty pink, but sadly I just don’t do pinks!

5

Kneipp Herbal Bath: Balancing in Lavender

This. Smells. Amazing. Sadly, I don’t have a bath tub though!!! I wish I did so I could make use of it!

All together, this box was a dud. The only thing I actually like is the blush. Since receiving this box (and my December), I have decided to cancel Glossybox. It’s more of a skin and hair care box than what I am looking for. I would still recommend it if that’s something you’re looking for!

Glossybox October 2014

Glossybox is a subsription box service that gives you five luxury beauty products for $21 a month. I’m a sub box addict, so I jumped on the bandwagon with this box as well (of course!)

SO first off, look how cute this box arrives!!! All wrapped up like a present!

Now here’s the good stuff:

3

  • Tarte Cosmetics Power Pigment in Flush ($24)
  • Proganix Volume Root Boost Finish + Body Builder ($11.99)
  • Nails Inc. Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat ($10)
  • Vince Camuto Amore eau de parfum (full size – $78)
  • Sesha Botanial Hydro Mask Sample (full size – $9)
  • Glam Glow YouthMud Tingle Exfoliate Treatment (full size – $69)

4

Tarte Cosmetics Power Pigment in Flush

This is a lip tint in a berry-hue. I absolutely love the color and the way that this applies. It has a clean application which works out awesome when I have to be to work at 6AM! It’s also very hydrating and doesn’t dry my lips out! This was definitely a win for me.

You can purchase one here! I would definitely recommend trying this out!

5

Proganix Volume Root Boost Finish + Body Builder

I absolutely loved this product… At first. I used it probably for a week after getting out of the shower. After a few uses, I noticed my hair getting extremely knotty. I hadn’t changed anything else, and I had just gotten my hair cute so I knew that was the culprits. I can’t say 100% if this product caused my hair to get knots, but I did discontinue using it and won’t be touching it again!

6

Nails Inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat

As we all know, I am a nail polish junkie. One of the trends over the Fall and into this Winter has been matte nails. I have a love/ hate relationship with matte polish. It chips more easily than I like it to. However, this top coat does a really good job of keeping the polish underneath from chipping! I was definitely impressed!

You can purchase this here!

7

Vince Camuto Amore eau de parfume

I hate perfume. I really do. I think it smells bad and it just gets stuck to you at first but by the end of the day it’s gone. I’m more of an, “I’ll take a shower and put deodorant on” kinda girl… BUT… I love this fragrance. I honestly haven’t worn it, because I simply don’t like wearing perfumes, but I do think it smells lovely! I would never pay $78 for it though! Also, the bottle is adorable!

8

Sesha Skin Therapy Botanical Hydro Mask

I’m so over masks. They never treat my skin nicely. This went into the “re-gift” pile.

9

Glam Glow YouthMud Tingle Exfoliate Treatment

I got this Glossybox with a special promo code to receive this sample of Glam Glow for free. Glam Glow has several face masks that are considered by some to be miracle workers. Once I got the product I realized how nervous I was about trying the mask because of my sensitive skin. It’s actually still sitting in my pile of un-trieds…

All in all, for this being my first box from Glossybox I definitely loved it. This was worth the $21 just to get the Tarte lip tint, which is definitely my favorite product from this box! You can sign up here!
