Target Women’s Winter All Natural Box

When Target released their Winter beauty boxes, they put out a “Naturally Festive” box with all natural products!

Here’s what I got:

1

  • SoapBox Argan Shampoo (Target Exclusive – $7.95 for the four piece travel kit)
  • Skinfix Hand Repair Cream (Target Exclusive – $17.99 for the full size)
  • Burt’s Bees Facial Wipes ($4.49 for the full size)
  • SheaMoisture Coconut Hibiscus Smoothie ($3.99)
  • Borghese Age Defying Facial Scrub (Target Exclusive – $16 for the full size)
  • Acure Organics Facial Cleanser ($9.99 for the full size)
  • $3 off a natural beauty purchase of $15 or more coupon

23

SoapBox Argan Shampoo

This item has a bit of a story behind it. When I received my box, this bottle of SoapBox shampoo was open. It had leaked out onto my other products. I instagrammed my box, and mentioned that the shampoo had leaked. SoapBox messaged my on Instagram and offered to send me the travel kit (second picture) absolutely free! They absolutely did not need to do that and I was thrilled that they took such a great initiative to do that. The travel kit includes argan oil body wash, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. They smell amazing, although I have not used them yet.

8

SkinFix Hand Repair Cream

I used this cream once (before falling in LoOoove with my repair cream that came in my PopSugar). It did seem to hydrate my dry hands pretty well.

7

Burt’s Bees Facial Wipes

This is one of those facial products that I am just overly nervous to use. I love my current makeup wipes and am afraid to switch products!

6

Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Smoothie for Hair

I haven’t tried this product yet!

5

Borghese Age Defying Facial Scrub

I haven’t used this one either!

4

Acure Organics Facial Cleanser

I haven’t used this either, but it smells really good!

All in all, I purchased this box for $5. None of these products were full sized. I do estimate the retail value to be about $15-20. It’s definitely not a bad price tag, especially if you just want to try out new products!

Target Women’s Winter Beauty Box

Let’s see, third times a charm to get this finished and posted – right?! I hate when life gets in the way of my blog!

Target has a seasonal beauty box. I had received the fall box, and was able to snag the Winter box! This time around, Target put out a Men’s and an all-natural box! I got all three for $20! Not a bad deal!

Here is my review on the Women’s Beauty Box:

1

  • Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen (Target Exclusive) ($12)
  • Revlon HD Lacquer ($7.99)
  • Hair Food Thickening Solution (Target Exclusive) ($11.99)
  • L’Oreal Butterfly Intenza Mascara ($7.99)
  • CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Kit ($4.49)
  • ChapStick Total Hydration Lip Care (Target Exclusive) ($2.99)
  • Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (Target Exclusive) ($23; full size)
  • Boots No. 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum ($17.49-23.99; full size)
  • 20% off Women’s Apparel purchase coupon
  • $3 off a $15 more Beauty Department purchase coupon

9

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Noir

I actually haven’t used this pencil yet, however I did swatch it and it looks like it will blend really well when I do get around to using it!

8

Revlon HD Lacquer in Garnet

I really love this color. It is a dark pink. However, I’m just not a fan of glosses!

7

Hair Food Thickening Solution

So far I haven’t used this product either. I haven’t had a hair cut in a while, until yesterday. Now that all my dead ends are gone I might try this little guy out!

6

L’Oreal Butterfly Intenza Mascara

I haven’t used this yet either. I’m super slacking on the reviews for this box!

5

CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Kit in Blushing Nudes

I love this little guy. I’ve kept it in my makeup bag for “on the run” makeup looks and love it. The pigmentation is surprisingly impressive. (Or my primer is the bomb – which it is… {Bare Minerals 5-in-1 Eye Primer})

4

ChapStick Total Hydration 3-in-1 Lip Care in Sweet Peach

I also set this one aside for now. I have enough chapstick open right now!

3

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

This is a sample size of this product. I actually hadn’t planned on using this until I just looked it up on Target’s website. It is a gel (rather than a cream) which is better for acne control (so I was told). Maybe I will give it a shot after all!

2

Boots No.7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Anti-Aging Serum

This went into the “save for later” pile!

The retail value of this box is $47.45. I didn’t include the two sample sizes because they don’t have a true “retail value”. I only spent $10 on this box, so I feel as though this was a great box!

I’ll keep everyone posted the next time the Target box goes up!

Starlooks Starbox January 2015

I’m so incredibly in love with the Starlooks Starbox. I think this will slowly be becoming my favorite sub box of the year! It’s $17.68 per month, and you’re guaranteed at least $35 worth of product, usually 3-4 items.

Here’s what I got in my second box:

1

  • Lipstick in Marsala ($14)
  • Kohl Eye Liner in Chestnut ($16)
  • Lip Brush ($22)
  • *Malibu SoapWorks All Natural Brush Cleaner in Young Coconut ($10)

2

Starlooks Lipstick in Marsala

Marsala is the Pantone Color of the Year 2015! Now, I’ll have a lipstick to go with this color! It’s a beautiful color and I cannot wait to wear it.

3

Starlooks Kohl Eye Liner in Chestnut

I first got into Starlooks because of an eye liner I had received in an Ipsy Glam Bag. This eye liner oes not disappoint either! It definitely lives up to my expectations.

4

Starlooks Lip Brush

I have been desperately in need of a lip brush, and it just so happened to fall into my lap with this box! This brush is super soft and I know it’ll make lipstick application a heck of a lot easier.

5

Malibu SoapWorkers All Natural Brush Cleaner in Young Coconut

Starlooks partnered with the Malibu SoapWorks company for this addiction to the box. It smells great, an is made of a lot of natural oils. I’m really excited to try this out… Which reminds me, I need to wash my brushes!

The total retail of this box comes to $62! I paid a third of the retail value!

One thing I really want to point out about Starlooks is that their makeup is 100% cruelty free. I’ve really been trying to get into cruelty free brands!

Starlooks Starbox December 2014

A few months back, I had received a Starlooks eyeliner in one of my Ipsy bags. I absolutely love the liner. I decided to look up Starlooks to see what other products they have… and then it happened. I found it. They have a subscription box! Naturally, being the subscription addict that I am, I signed up immediately. It is called the Starbox and cost is $17.68 per month ($15, plus $2.68 shipping).

Here is what I got in my first month’s box:

1

First of all, adorable packing!

2

15 Shade Pro Eye Shadow Palette ($99 value)

When I first opened it up to see this palette, I thought “really? These colors are awful and I’ll never use them!” Boy, I was SO wrong! I absolutely love this palette. The pigmentation is amazing and they wear really well. I received this just in time for Christmas to I used the red and green shadows pretty often! For the retail of this palette to be $99, paying $17 was definitely worth it! They have other palettes that are similar to this one and I definitely wish I could purchase those for $17!

I would highly recommend checking the Starlooks Starbox out!

Ulta Haul!

I’m still playing post-Christmas catch up, and along the way I came across three orders I had placed with Ulta that I just have to share about.

Back in November, Ulta ran this awesome deal through ebates! (Which is another little something I MUST do a post on!) The deal was $5 off a purchase of $10 or more PLUS free shipping!!! WHAT?! It was too good of a deal to pass up on!

Here’s the full picture of all three orders:

1

So, before I go any further, I just want to point out that I spent under $21!

Order #1:

3

As we all know, I am a HUGE lover of the NYX butter lipsticks! Of course with this awesome deal I had to pick up a few I didn’t have. I decided to purchase Hunk and Licorice. These are two colors that I’d been eyeing but was unsure of because of how bold they are. I recently got more into dark/ vampy colors. These babies certainly do not disappoint!

The total retail value of this order was $11.98. I spent $7.47, plus free shipping and of course three skincare samples.

Order #2:

4

For this order, I decided to go a little crazy. I purchased the NYX Concealer stick in green. I had read that if you apply that over red marks before a flesh-toned concealer, it actually masks the blemish better (this really works, by the way!). I also decided to try one of the NYX Wicked Lippies in Stone Cold. It’s a really pretty silver color. On your lips, it looks more like just a glittery lipstick. I’m probably going to pair it over a pink lipliner!

The total retail value of this order was $10.98. I spent $6.40, plus free shipping and three fragrance samples.

Order #3:

2

With this order, I decided to break away from all my NYX purchases and try something new. I purchased four Anti-Bacterial Hand Sanitizers (by Ulta) in the scent mandarin mint. These were buy one, get one free. I also purchased a Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick (Kate Moss Collection) in the color 113. This lipstick is highly disappointing. The color is AWFUL on me (I guess because I’m so pale!) and the smell is also atrocious. Now, I have a funny story to tell about this order. I actually receive it twice (somehow). I still have no idea. I was only charged once and I didn’t realize I had gotten it twice until about three weeks ago when I found the extra box. So, I actually got eight hand sanitizers and two lipsticks. My second lipstick arrived smashed, so I was able to exchange that in store for a different color (104). I even got paid $2 (and change) for doing the exchange because those two colors are now discontinued!

The retail value of everything I received was $34.98!!! I paid a whopping $6.94! AND was refunded the $2 in store! Plus the free shipping and three ‘variety’ samples.

5

^ Close up of all the samples I received!

I just have to love Ulta and all of their crazy deals!

Happy shopping!

PopSugar Must Have – January 2015

PopSugar Must Have is a lifestyle subscription box that’s always full of fun! For $39.95/ month it never disappoints!

Here’s what I got:

1

  • Jack + Lucy Pom Pom Hat ($32)
  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($28)
  • KeepCup Brew 12-oz Reusable Coffee Cup ($26)
  • Skin Jewel Tattoos ($18)
  • Nature Valley Protein Granola ($3.68)
  • manduka eQua Yoga Hand Towel ($16)
  • ToGoSpa Ice Water Eyes ($12.50)

2

Jack + Lucy Pom Pom Hat

I hate hats. I think I look really stupid in them. However, we’ve got a huge blizzard about to blow  through tonight into tomorrow morning, so I figured I’d break this little guy out and give him a shot in the cold tomorrow!

6

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

My hands are currently destroyed right now because of the cold Winter weather. I’ve used this cream a few times since receiving my box and I love it! It definitely re-hydrates them!

5

KeepCup Brew 12-oz Reusable Coffee Cup

I’m a huge coffee drinker and this little guy is adorable. Most travel mugs are well over 12-oz so I love that this cup is smaller.

7

Skin Jewel Tattoos

I think these babies are going to get set aside until the summertime!

8

Nature Valley Protein Granola

I love Nature Valley. It’s a really great organic brand. I also love granola. I like to pour some milk on it and eat it like cereal (only I eat it at midnight not for breakfast). This is so delicious. Peanut butter and chocolate are basically my middle name!

4

manduka eQua Yoga Hand Towel

This is one thing in this box that I literally have no use for… I don’t do yoga… I don’t even exercise!

3

ToGoSpa Ice Water Eyes

I’m really looking forward to getting a chance to use these. I have a lot of dark circles going on with my eyes, so I’ll give anything a shot!

January is Fitness Awareness Month, and this PopSugar Must Have box was definitely geared to healthy living between the granola, yoga hand towel, and the beauty products. I’m definitely not one for fitness (yet!) but it is nice that a box did this sort of thing.

Retail for this box is $136.18. Almost $100 over what I paid for it!

PopSugar Must Have – December 2014

Here I am once again, raving about PopSugar Must Have! $39.95/ a month for 6-7 full or premium sized products! It’s fantastic!

Here’s what I got:

1

  • SPUN by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf ($62)
  • Sparklepop Sydney Necklace ($42)
  • Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl ($29)
  • Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in Bordeaux ($24)
  • Knot & Bow Parcel Tags ($4)
  • William Sonoma Vanilla Bean Cupcake Mix ($14.95)

2

SPUN by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf

Well, this item right here, at a retail value of $62(!!!!!!!) makes this entire box well worth it. I love this scarf. I have worn it on multiple occasions. It goes perfectly with very nearly every outfit I wear! (I’m also wearing the Smashbox lip lacquer in this photo!)

6

Sparklepop Sydney Necklace

This is a 14 kt. gold plated necklace that is beautiful! I couldn’t take a good picture of it because of how shiny this baby is! My only problem with this necklace is that I very rarely wear gold. I’m a much bigger silver person.

5

Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl

I have this little beauty sitting on my vanity with my earrings and bracelets in it! It actually matches the white cup I hold my brushes in, and the plate I keep under my perfumes!

4

Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer in Bordeaux

I’m wearing this in the photo of the scarf (above). It is a beautiful color. I expected it to be much darker than it actually is on because of how dark it looks in the box. It is decently pigmented and lasted for about six hours (give or take).

3

William Sonoma Vanilla Bean Cupcake Mix

I have no made this, and I have to say… who would pay $15 for a can of vanvilla cupcake mix? Sounds ridiculous to me… Eventually I’ll be really hungry one night and bake these up, but for now the pretty canister sits on my bookshelf.

I love my PopSugar Must Have. Retail of this box is $176! That’s insane! This box is awesome for trying new, high-end pieces!

PopSugar Must Have – November 2014

I love my PopSugar Must Have box. Seriously, this has become my favorite “oops, this is expensive but I have to keep it” box!

For $39.95 a month, you will receive about 7 full sized or premium items from different categories like beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food. The total retail value of the box will be at least $100 (although most of the time it is well over that!) They offer a three- and six- month subscription plan which will also save you some money!

Here’s what I got:

1

  • Simon & Schuster – The Secret Recipe by Dominique Ansel ($35)
  • Sorial – Saffiano Wallet on a Chain ($49)
  • K. Hall Simpatico – Ambergris Shea Butter Cream ($22)
  • Tiny Prints – Thoughtful Heart Stationary ($15)
  • Wine Glass Writer – Customer 3-Pack for PopSugar ($9.95)
  • G.H. Cretors – Chicago Mix Popped Corn ($3.69)

6

Simon & Schuster: The Secret Recipe by Dominique Ansel

Okay, as soon as I opened this book, I was instantly starving. So many delicious ideas. I’m definitely not a cook or a baker, but some of these recipes are super simple and definitely something I could try out!

7

Sorial – Saffiano Wallet on a Chain

Could this be anymore me???? This was my signature piece through every holiday party I went to this year. It’s the perfect size for my phone, license, some cash, and a lipstick for touch ups! Plus, it’s BLUE! Looooveee!

5

K. Hall Simpatico – Ambergris Shea Butter Cream

I honestly haven’t used this cream, but I know that Shea Butter can do wonders for your skin, especially during the cold Winter months.

4

Tiny Prints – Thoughtful Heart Stationary

These little notecards are just absolutely adorable. I’m not one to buy notecards, but I do love getting them in my PopSugar because you never know when you’ll need them.

3

Wine Glass Writer – Custom 3-Pack for PopSugar

I haven’t used these yet either, however, I have LOTS of party planning (specifically wedding planning!) in my future, so I know I will get use out of these down the road.

2

G.H. Cretors – Chicago Mix Popped Corn

Oh. My. Goodness. This is a delicious combination of cheddar and caramel popped corn.Seriously, this was beyond delicious. My fiance ended up stealing half the bag from me!

The total retail value of this box was $134.64! Just the wallet alone (which is by far my favorite piece from this month), which retails for $49 made this box incredibly worth it. Don’t let the $40 price of the box scare you away, it’s so worth it!

Julep – January Maven 2015 – The Chrysalis Collection

Julep’s monthly boxes are always my favorite time of the month. I love getting all the goodies from them!

Julep is a beauty subscription box. For $24.99 a month (or $19.99 for a three-month pre-paid subscription), you’ll receive three full sized products, catered to your beauty profile.

Also, you can click here to receive your first box for 50% off with the code WOW!

The January collection was titled The Chrysalis Collection, featuring 9 new polishes, new Luxe Lip Treatments, two new eye glider shades, and two new Orbital eye shadows.

Here’s what I got:

1

I once again switched from my normal Boho Glam style profile to the January It Girl Profile which included:

  • Janae ($14/ $11.20 Maven Price)
  • Margit ($14/ $11.20 Maven Price)
  • Shelly ($14/ $11.20 Maven Price)

As add-ons I received:

  • Casey ($14/ $11.20 Maven Price)
  • Luna ($14/ $11.20 Maven Price)
  • Holographic Chevron Nail Decals ($3.99)
  • Metamorphic Top Coat in Tyra (freebie for all Mavens who took their box! – currently unavailable for purchase)
  • Glycolic Hand Scrub (freebie for taking three add-ons! – $23/ $18.40 Maven Price)
  • Baby box of Junior Mints!

Here are the polishes:

2

My total for this month was $41. The retail of everything I received would have been at east $100 (not 100% sure on the full retail value because there isn’t a listing for the Metamorphic topcoats yet!). Even the 20% Maven pricing would have made the box at least $80. That’s at least a 50% savings!

If you want a colorful box that you’ll be excited to get every month I would highly suggest checking Julep out!
